What is MUN

Model United Nations (also Model UN or MUN) is an academic simulation of the United Nations sessions that aims to educate participants about current events, topics in international relations, diplomacy, and the United Nations agenda.

The participants (also referred to as delegates) role-play diplomats representing a country or an NGO in a simulated session of an organ (committee) of the United Nations, such as the Security Council or the General Assembly. Participants do their research about a country and its position on the discussed topics, debate, deliberate, consult, and then try to find solutions to the discussed problems.

During the conference, participants have to employ a variety of communication and critical thinking skills in order to defend the position of country they represent.

MUN experience is not only about the simulation of sessions, but also about meeting other young and ambitious people from all over the world, visiting interesting places, and lots of fun connected with education and experiences.
