BY PLANE

The Brno International Airport is located 7.5 km away from the city center. It takes approximately 20 minutes to reach the city center from the airport by bus number 76 or a taxi, that is available outside the airport at all times. When getting on a taxi, it is advisable to you negotiate or at least ask for the approximate price beforehand.
There are several airline companies operating at the airport, including some low-cost airlines, such as Ryanair and Wizz Air.

BY BUS

Bus connections between Brno and the rest of Europe is very frequent and provided by several bus companies. There are two international bus terminals in Brno – Zvonařka bus terminal used by Tourbus and the Brno Grand station (close to the Grand Hotel Brno) used by Student Agency, Tourbus, and Eurolines.

BY CAR

Brno can be easily reached by car from all major cities in the Czech Republic and all major cities in Central Europe through a large network of motorways. Motorways in the Czech Republic are paid, and therefore a vignette sticker is necessary. Vignette stickers can be purchased at Czech Post branches, fuel stations, border crossings, and some other labeled places.

HOW TO GET AROUND BRNO

Brno is well known for its efficient and reasonably priced system of public transportation. The city offers a large network of trams, buses, and trolley buses. Short-term and multi-day tickets can be purchased in vending machines at the stations, news-stands, from the driver, and also by a text message.

Connections to the Faculty of Social Studies, where the conference takes place are numerous. Faculty can be easily reached by a tram number 4 from the main railway station or a trolleybus number 38 and 39 (from the university accommodation – Grani Hotel) that stop right in front of it on a tram stop called Komenského náměstí.

In order to arrive at the conference venue you can also use the tram/bus stop called Česká, which is located less than 5 minutes of walk from the venue. To reach this stop, use the trams number 3, 4, 5, 6, 9, 11, 12, trolley buses number 32, 34, 36 or buses number 81, 82.
